Consignment Terms

  • In the allotted 20 minutes, we'll be sorting through your items. If there's anything we think might not be the right fit for our store, we'll return it to you at the end of the appointment.
  • After sorting, the items we keep will hit the sales floor within 1-3 weeks. Please note, accepted items can't be returned before 30 days. Once logged and priced, they have 30-80 days to sell, based on store inventory and season. Thanks for your patience and trust in our process.
  • When your items are set for the sales floor, we'll create an inventory list on your account. Please note that Young’n Thrifty holds sole discretion on pricing, which may include in-store discounts. We determine prices based on item condition, style, and their likelihood of selling at that time. Thanks for your understanding.
  • As a consignor, you'll receive 40% of an item’s selling price. You can use your earnings as store credit for any Young’n Thrifty merchandise, with an added 15% if you choose this option. Alternatively, you may request your earnings in the form of a cheque or a combination of both.
  • Please use the online form in the 'Request Payout' tab on our website to request payouts. We don't accept requests over the phone or in person. Payouts are processed monthly, and we need a minimum of 10 days before the payout date to process your request. Note the $1.50 processing fee, and payouts can only be taken with a balance of $15 or more. Keep in mind, Young’n Thrifty reserves the right to change payment methods for consignors at any time.
  • You have the option to have unsold, expired, or damaged items returned to you or donated. Please decide between return or donate below. If you choose return, you'll receive an email notification when it's time to pick up your items. We communicate all consignment details via email, so make sure to provide an email you check regularly. If unsold items aren't picked up within one week, they will be donated to charity.
  • Young’n Thrifty is affiliated with several local charities listed on our website. Donated items will be directed to these charity affiliations. In instances of excessive stock, we reserve the right to resell donated items at a reduced price, with a portion of the proceeds converted into a monetary donation. We aim to reduce clothing waste and prevent items from ending up in landfills.
  • We are not responsible for items lost, stolen, or damaged by other patrons. All communication regarding your account at Young’n Thrifty is conducted via email. We cannot be held responsible for missed communication due to unsubscribing, providing an incorrect email, or email settings that may result in not seeing or receiving our messages.
